Constructed between 1900 and 1902, the
Leavenworth Carnegie
Library building was adapted in 1987 to house a private, non-profit facility for
the arts. The vibrant and active Carnegie Arts Center provides children
and adults with an exciting mix of opportunities and experiences in art, dance,
music, and drama.
The Centennial Walkway
located at the southeast
entrance of the Carnegie Arts Center was created in
2000 to celebrate 100 years of community service by
recognizing the many families and businesses involved with
the building’s past, present, and future.
The Walkway is a lasting
tribute to the supporters and friends of the Carnegie Arts
Center. You may have a brick engraved with your name and/or
message laid in the Walkway with a donation of $100*. Each
brick can be engraved with up to three lines with a limit
of 13 characters per line. Leave your mark on history,
and ensure that your family, business, or organization will
be recognized.
Please contact the Carnegie at
(913) 651-0765 for more information.
*All donations and tax
deductible.
Your gift will help the
Carnegie provide quality art, music, and dance classes to
the Leavenworth community.
